Manuel Tavarez
Co-Founder & Camp Director
Manuel is an experienced entrepreneur and a seasoned professional in the sports industry. He was the founder and Managing Partner of Tavarez Sporting Goods, which specialized in custom baseball bats, baseball gloves and equipment. Additionally, he has owned and operated a sports representation and player development firm in the Dominican Republic. Manuel has also held management positions with prestigious international sports representation firms.
He currently holds a Master of Science degree in International Business Management from Pace University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing from Barry University.
Nelson Tejada, Jr
Co-Founder
Nelson is a legal professional in New York City with over fifteen years of experience in civil and administrative litigation. His areas of expertise include contract and civil litigation. Nelson is an extraordinary negotiator. To date, he has provided his input and negotiated millions of dollars for clients.
He currently holds a Juris Doctrine degree from Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Criminal Law from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Manuel Delgado
Camp Coordinator
Manuel is a hospitality veteran who holds more than a decade of experience in the industry, having held several management positions at prominent hotels in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Manuel has overseen hotel day-to-day operations, managed hotel executive teams and more than 200 hotel employees.
He also has spent years as a Casino Manager, where he directed the operating, sales and marketing efforts, led the reorganization and redirection of sales and marketing efforts within a competitive and expanding market. Through his years of hotel service, Manuel has gained proven leadership expertise in hospitality operations, sales, and staff development, making him a valuable asset to DR Elite Baseball Camp.
Manuel’s hospitality management career has also included positions with prestigious brands including the Hark Rock Punta Cana and the Paradisus Punta Cana Resort.
